It’s that time again where I am thinking what races to run.
I have a thing — fear of commiting. I know what races I want to do, but when it comes to time for registering, I hesitate. Not sure why.
I stayed awake last few days, thinking over and over, I should or should not register.
There are 4 things: Twichcon in Las Vegas. There will be a race there, but I also want to go the Twitch convention. If I go, I will write about it.
2. Anime NYC, Friday only since Saturday is sold out. I have a race in Philly on Sunday. I have to pick up my package on Saturday anyway. I would like to go to NYC for some good chinese food
3. Louisiana Baton Rouge Marathon, last night was the last day before it raised the price. I missed it. I stayed up and then fell asleep and woke up before midnight, but could not make myself to click it
4. Space Coast Marathon in Florida. I have been playing around the idea of running on Cocoa Beach over Thanksgiving, but could not being myself to buy the air ticket. It is expensive to fly over the holiday. In normal time, I could fly there at half the price. Do I really want to pay that much for the experience? A marathon is a marathon right? The alternative is go to Tampa in January and run the Clear/Crystal Water Marathon at a much cheaper price
5. finally Red Dirt 100 miler in Lousiana. I have been dragging me feet on this one. My friend gave me an idea to run the Forgotten Florida 100 instead. Forgotten Florida is definitely a superior choice. I don’t know, I have not register led for either of them
As for which marathons I will be running, I will release this shortly. La Cruce in New Mexico, Mississippi River Delta, Baton Rouge hopefully. That’s all I could remember at the moment.
I said 4 races, but well there are more than 4. Let’s do them all!!
I might write more later. Been thinking on what my mission/vision, and why I have to run in all 50 states. And why I am stressing out something that might or might not happen. Why do runners put themselves in a miserable condition? I am talking about running my upcoming race – the Grindstone 100 — it will be one miserable weekend!
