    Day 84

    Wednesday, normally is my night off from running, but since I took my rest on Monday, (did 1 mile on the treadmill on Monday)  I was obligated to go out and put in my miles.  (more…)

  • Started the week

    Day 81 

    I started the week right because with my new found friend praying for me on everything, and  about my running, I was able to run much more in the last few weeks than couple months before. I saw improvement. Last week I was able to put in a solid 40 miles. This week, I already had 20 miles from my long run.  (more…)

  • Trolling

    Day 78

    Marine Corp Marathon is one of the revered marathons in the area, and probably is internationally renowned as well. The lottery to sign up for it will open next month. I think I was pretty lucky person when I got a spot in 2017. Some people say it is not as hard as one thinks.  (more…)

  • Inconsequential

    Day 77

    Snow for real! Schools are closed. Government is closed. Buses are on a special schedule and can cancel any time without notice. Yeehaw! It means  we are going camping (can’t wait). That’s how I feel any way. The camping trip is this weekend but I feel we can go today! We have been waiting since last weekend for snow when it was supposed to snow and it has been pushed back to today. (more…)

    Weekend was even busier but I didn’t do much over the weekend. It was a great weekend for various personal reasons, all related to God, family, and friends, so I won’t go into it.  (more…)

  • 5k report

    Day 74

    I ran the “Run your heart out 5k”.  I was so close to running my heart out. It was 27 seconds away from my personal best. I finished at 24:27 and my best was 24:01 on the same course set on Feb 2017.  (more…)

  • Middle of the night

    Run: It got cold since last night. I was going to run to get to 30 miles but having been out the whole day, I just couldn’t bring myself to get back out there in the cold.  More on this why I was out.  Instead of running, I had a cross-train day.  (more…)
